My hero, Richard P. Feynman(draft2)

You already knew about Albert Einstein, don't you? His theory is very famous for all people, althought they aren't interested in physics. However, there are other brilliant scientist as well as Albert Einstein. He is Richard P. Feynman, my hero.

Richard P. Feynman was born in New York in 1918 . Unfortunately he died when I was 2 years in 1988. However I'm so happy that I was born before he is died. He taught at Cornell University and California Institute of Technology.
He got a novel prize in physics in 1965 by publishing lecture which is The Development of the Space-Time View of Quantum Electrodynamics.

When I read the his book, Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman! , I was really shocked. Before I read this book, I just thought that he was a genius. However, I realized that wasn't enough to explain him. He didn't explain any physics equations in this book. However, I've never seen a text book which explained physical concepts clearly and easily. I had confidences in physics and math after I had read this book. I have been reading Feynman's books rather than university text books. If you aren't interested in physics, I strongly recommend this book.

He had studied not only physics but biology. He was started studying biology after he became a professor. He had been studying biology without teacher for 2 years. he debated core points in biology with famous professors! They was a lot helped by Feynman.

Feynman had studied for 24 hours a day! when he concentrated in something. Considering this point, I have envied his passion. Feynman didn't only study. He enjoyed himself such as travelling to Brazil and Japan.
He had been interested in other cultures. Especially, he enjoyed playing Brazil's instruments and learning Japanese culture like Dadami.

If you are interested in his nobel prize lecture , you can see at here, http://nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/physics/laureates/1965/feynman-lecture.html
If you can understand this lecture, please tell me . Probably, you can be my new hero.
Although Feynman is my hero, I don't know everything about him.
However, the more I know about him, the more interested in him.
I feel that he is a genius through the books. I'm happy because I can read a lot of books which written by Feynman or about Feynman. I believe that you have known this feeling.

  1. The Development of the Space-Time View of Quantum Electrodynamics? Oh, that's an easy one! I'll explain it to you during the break tomorrow...
